SupplyWhy is excited to welcome Shan Huang to the leadership team as CTO. Shan brings deep expertise in AI systems and scalable software solutions as well as Supply Chain forecasting systems.
At SupplyWhy, every leadership decision we make is grounded in one question: Will this help our customers build smarter, more resilient supply chains that improve operating profit and reduce waste? Today, we’re proud to share a milestone that brings us one step closer to that mission.
We’re excited to welcome Shan Huang as our new Chief Technology Officer.
Shan joins us as an accomplished software engineering leader and entrepreneur with a rare blend of enterprise depth and startup agility. He has built and scaled complex systems at both Fortune 500 organizations and Silicon Valley startups, leveraging his deep expertise in AI systems, cloud infrastructure, and highly scalable software platforms.
What makes Shan’s journey especially meaningful to us is where it began.
Early in his career, Shan worked on supply chain forecasting systems at E2open, supporting global leaders such as P&G, Walmart, and other major brands. This hands-on experience gave him firsthand insight into the real-world challenges supply chain professionals face, long before “AI in supply chain” became an industry buzzword.
Since then, Shan has gone on to serve as the founding engineering leader at multiple startups, where he helped architect and scale cutting-edge AI products from the ground up. He brings not just technical excellence, but the systems thinking and execution discipline required to turn bold ideas into reliable, enterprise-ready platforms.
Why Shan Chose SupplyWhy
For Shan, joining SupplyWhy wasn’t just about the technology… it was about the mission.
“Supply chain is where I started my career, and I’ve always believed it’s one of the areas where AI can create the most tangible real-world impact. SupplyWhy’s vision of building an intelligent agent that supply chain professionals can truly trust—not just another flashy AI tool—deeply resonates with me. When the SupplyWhy team showed me how Jenae is already helping customers like Yazaki transform hours of manual work into minutes, I knew this was a team building something meaningful.”
That belief aligns perfectly with our product philosophy: practical AI, designed for the real operational complexity of global supply chains. Shan will play a central role in advancing Jenae, our multi-agent system for supply chain resilience, ensuring that our platform continues to deliver not only innovation but also reliability, security, and measurable business impact.
What This Means for Our Customers
As CTO, Shan will lead our engineering and product architecture, focusing on:
- Scalable AI systems that grow with our customers’ operations
- Enterprise-grade reliability and security
- Faster innovation cycles without sacrificing robustness
- Deep domain integration that reflects how supply chains actually operate
In short: better technology, built the right way.
The Human Side of AI Innovation
Beyond his technical leadership, Shan brings a thoughtful, grounded perspective to the team. When he’s not building AI products, you’ll find him spending time with his wife and teenage daughter, playing Chinese chess (he was champion of Tsinghua University’s freshman tournament!), and exploring the latest in gaming.
It’s this balance of rigor, curiosity, and a priority placed on connection and relationships that makes him such a natural fit for our culture.
We’re thrilled to have Shan on board and look forward to the next chapter of SupplyWhy as we continue building intelligent systems that supply chain professionals can trust.
Please join us in welcoming Shan, our new Chief Technology Officer.
